UNC Chapel Hill seeks Teaching Assistant Professor

The Department of Dramatic Art at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for the position of Teaching Assistant Professor (non-tenure track). This position is full-time fixed term and will be responsible for teaching a 3/3 course load (six total), five of which must be undergraduate courses that meet the Communication Beyond Carolina degree requirement. These classes emphasize the role of oral communication, with particular attention to tailoring communication to different audiences. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with PlayMakers Repertory company and/or the Kenan Theatre Company and to be affiliated with the Program for Public Discourse. Candidates should possess a Master of Fine Arts degree and have at least three years of teaching experience at the university, college, or professional level.
