Essential Information for College Representatives

What is NCTC College Day?

College Day is an all-inclusive theatre event bringing students in grades 9-12, graduates taking a gap year, and transfer students together with college theatre departments in one place. Colleges from across North Carolina and surrounding states are invited to view high school students’ auditions and portfolio presentations, and to meet prospective students at our College Fair.

Why should I attend NCTC College Day?

NCTC College Day is the only event in the state that connects high school students and their parents to NC’s College and University Theatre Programs. At the event, you’ll have the opportunity to watch auditions, review portfolios, and showcase your program to underclassmen and seniors who want to meet you! This is a great opportunity to recruit your incoming class and connect with your colleagues from across the state!

Who should my school bring to NCTC College Day?

We recommend bringing at least 3 faculty/staff members to NCTC College Day, to take full advantage of the recruitment opportunities. Several things happen simultaneously at this busy event and you won’t want to miss any of the action! The more representation for your school = the more interaction you’ll have with students and parents!

We also encourage you to bring current college students to assist with recruiting. College students do not need to register and you will not pay a fee for them to attend.
