Green Room Community Theatre will hold auditions for “James and the Giant Peach”

Join us at The Green Room Community Theatre for auditions for James and the Giant Peach. This all-youth production is directed by John David Brown III, The Green Room’s Creative Director.  It is adapted from the book written by Roald Dahl and dramatized by Richard R. George.

When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion which results in a tremendous peach. The peach launches James on a journey of enormous proportions. He finds himself among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities, and he embarks on a dangerous voyage. Thanks to James’ quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family.

James and the Giant Peach is produced by Automated Machine Design. Performance dates are March 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, and 25, 2018 with School Performances on March 22 & 23, 2018 (Snow date – March 26). Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 pm, and Sunday shows are at 3:00 pm. You must be available for all performances to audition.

Auditions will be held on January 15 & 16, 2018 at 7pm.  Auditions will be held at the Old Post Office Playhouse, located at 10 South Main Avenue, Newton, NC  28658.  Please enter at the lower level door at the back of the building (on South Ashe Avenue).  You only need to attend one of the audition dates.
